Weddings:
The Bishop, Pastor, and/or the Staff of Elders/Eldresses are available to perform weddings. However, any member being married by our ministering officials must participate in PREMARITAL COUNSELING. This counseling helps to examine, prepare, and reinforce readiness to take and keep the sacred covenant vows of Holy Matrimony.
Call the church secretary to schedule a PREMARITAL INTERVIEW at least six months before your tentative wedding date. Both you and your fiancée must attend the session(s).
Assuming everything is in order, after the Premarital Interview, your wedding date is placed on the church calendar.
Non-members are also permitted to use the church facilities if there are no prior engagements scheduled.
Both member and non-member guidelines and fee schedules are available by contacting the church secretary. All fees must be paid in accordance to rules and regulations contained within the guidelines and fee schedule for weddings and marriages.
FUNERALS:
Death is a part of life, also. Upon the decease of a member, The Worship Center Bishop, Pastor, and Ministerial Staff will work with the bereaved family in whatever ways possible to accommodate their wishes in planning and programming the Service. Immediate contact of the church office is very important to notify your church family whether you desire the services of the church or not. Do not chance your church family getting the message about your losses. You place the call to the church office to inform so that we can share with you.
Baby Dedications:
According to the Word of God it is very important to train up a child in the way he/she should go so that when the child is older, he/she will not depart from the training.
The formal act of baby dedication is a solemn agreement by the parent(s) and other caregivers/relatives involved to share with the awesome assignment of child rearing as God ordained. It is important that the family understands the significance of the PROMISE being made before God.
Hospitalization:
Outreach ministers, bishop, and pastor will visit you and/or your relatives that are hospitalized. However, it is your responsibility to “call for the elders of the church” (Jas. 5:14).
Baptism:
Baptism is offered as needed. If you have not been baptized by immersion in water as Jesus commanded, and you desire to be baptized, contact the church office immediately so that arrangements can be made for your baptism.
HOLY COMMUNION & FEET WASHING:
This observance of the Lord’s suffering and death is held on Friday nights before the 5th Sundays. We encourage all members that are saved and living for Christ to partake of this memoriam.
SPIRITUAL & PERSONAL ENRICHMENT COUNSELING SERVICES (SPECS):
Counseling services are available to The Worship Center members on various subjects by appointments only. Call the Church office or personal cell phone number of Pastor Costella McKoy to arrange appointments for these free services (910-638-5966).
